Next to the Central Market, we find an architectural jewel from the 17th century, Portolito Carmen, converted into a gastronomic and artistic space. A central location where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner, tapas, a late afternoon or a long evening, enjoying its great beer, cocktail and mixed drinks menus. It is housed in a building constructed in 1910 in “Plaza del Mercado, 20”. Originally an Ultramarinos, it closed after the flood of 1957. As soon as you enter the premises you will find, on the right, a wall dating back to the 17th century. The premises are divided into two spaces by a medieval Gothic arch. At the end of the well was a well, which was walled up and sealed off for health and safety reasons, and which led to a drainage ditch from the moat of the walls. An experience for all the senses in the heart of Valencia’s El Carmen neighbourhood, with a professional team dedicated to its customers and a culinary proposal with the group’s seal of quality.
